Spring Cleaning Your Home: What Not To Forget 

As we leave behind a winter full of blue skies and good surf, Spring Cleaning is in the air!  

Perhaps you’re craving the refresh of a renovation, but don’t want quite the big a project. Or maybe you’re just looking to declutter! Either way, here are some areas of the home often forgotten, that shouldn’t be skipped: 

  • Wipe Walls and Baseboards: Vinegar and dish soap with a vertical mop works wonders!  

  • Wash Windows and Screens: Distilled water and white vinegar and a crumpled newspaper is a great way to wash glass if you don’t want to buy commercial supplies.  

  • Reseal Grout Lines: Not as complicated as it might seem.

Questions to Ask When Buying a Home 

There are many questions you could ask when buying a home, but there are also definitely some questions you should ask. While this list isn’t all encompassing, it’s a great place to start:  

Are there any anticipated renovations?  

What will you need to replace in the far off, or nearer, future? How’s the roof? The appliances? The hot water heater? When was the last time the previous owners had to call a plumber?  

What much work is the yard? 

If looking at a place with a lawn or a garden, you’ll want to consider their maintenance. Perhaps having a place where you can spend hours outside is important for you. Or perhaps you want, at max, three feet of grass you can spray…

Hobbies Now That You're On Maui

Whether you are visiting, or a resident, Hawaii-specific hobbies shouldn’t be overlooked! Spend a day trying something new or add a hobby to your routine and find new ways of having fun.
